A WORD FROM OUR PASTOR
Thank you for visiting our site! It is my prayer that the information you find here is helpful and edifying as you search for the church that is right for you. Gospel Light Baptist Church was started in 1977 by Harold Elting Jr. From the beginning, it has been independent and distinctively Baptist—it is what church is meant to be.
We are a “traditional church that possesses life!” While we stand firm on doctrine and Bible standards, we are not a dull or dry church. We are conservative in our theology yet liberal in our love. “Whosoever” is welcomed at Gospel Light Baptist Church! We are a diverse church with people from all around the globe. Each of us has one common thread: we have been transformed by the power of the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe in one race, and that is the human race, and that race of people needs Jesus Christ
If you are looking for a place where church is still church—a church that preaches, teaches, and stands on the foundation of God’s Word; a church that still uses the King James Bible; a church that still sings the great hymns of the faith that reach the lost, encourage the believer, and honors Christ in every note, rhythm, and lyric; a church that is independent, fundamental, and teaches the whole counsel of God without fear or compromise—then I encourage you to visit Gospel Light Baptist Church.
